Corrections Officers are responsible for ensuring the care and welfare of prisoners confined within the Jail while using proper safety methods and techniques. Corrections Officers must possess the ability to complete the State of Ohio approved basic corrections course successfully.
Applicants for this non-sworn position must be at least 18 years of age, have a high school diploma or equivalent, must be able to keyboard at least thirty words per minute, and must be able to pass a physical performance test.
The pay rate for Corrections Officers ranges from $17.66 - $26.57
